As a 28 year old man with no knowledge of jewellery/engagement rings, Jason was incredible in both educating me on all the important things to consider when making such a significant purchase and helping me then navigate what the art of the possible was for my budget range. His approach put me at ease, made me feel confident in my decision making and alongside all of this, Jason was in no way trying to push/sell. It was obvious Jason's approach is to find what the best fit was for me and this was greatly appreciated. If you are buying an engagement ring, definitely go to Maxdiamonds!

Jason and Jo did an absolutely phenomenal job from start to finish.

I had a number of high street jewelers in the UK and overseas who weren't willing to craft the ring we wanted. The folks at Max Diamonds were happy to give it a go.

A bit about the process, I'd say send an email through with a description (maybe some sketches) so they know what you are after. It's helpful for that first conversation to bring as much information as you can. I gave them a call and just popped right in on the same day for a chat, Jason was friendly and professional.

The quote was reasonable, not the cheapest I'd seen but certainly not the most expensive - fair and you get what what you pay for and more.

Jo (Jason's wife) took the source material I had and began with some sketches until we were happy with the look and then moved on to CAD drawings. It's a godsend having the two of them, because the can cut out anything that won't be feasible for casting and setting. You may need to make some compromises on look but they are really trying to give you something practical that will last. I guarantee with the amount of effort they put in and edits they are not making suggestions to make their lives easier.

Once happy with designs Jason moved on to getting the ring made. He's got a good network for it and everything looked amazing. Plenty of updates throughout and pictures of the silver blanks, 3D printed mock-ups etc.

The ring came in a fairly simple black box, if you want to get something fancier I'm sure they can accommodate you but I wouldn't worry the ring is going to steal the show anyway.

You won't go wrong, and if you're in doubt just go to the workshop and have a chat - you'll see exactly what I mean.

I am so grateful for the ring that was beautifully designed and created by Jason and Jo at MaxDiamonds. Jason & Jo are really passionate about creating rings for their clients and this has made the creation of my fiance's engagement ring all the more special. They accommodated a private appointment to discuss my proposed designs, sourced a choice of diamonds for me to see, provided different CAD software ring designs and 3D printed models before choosing the final ring. I received frequent communication to update me about the process which made the whole journey reassuring and exciting. I moved from the US with an unusual engagement ring, and Jason worked with me over multiple sessions to craft a beautiful, contoured band to match (even ordering 14k gold for me to match my engagement ring, which is unusual for the UK). He was responsive, enthusiastic and professional, as well as being warm and personable. Even though I was having a simple wedding band made, he and his wife Jo treated me like such a valued customer - they made 3D printer models for me of my options, they had CAD design suggestions proactively ready for my very first visit (which I didn't even have to ask for), and cleaned my engagement ring of his own volition when he had it in for a scan. Like many men when they decide to propose to their partners, I needed plenty of help and guidance when I began my search for someone who could make the engagement ring I was seeking for my now fiancee Elaine. While I knew Hatton Garden was a good area to go to in London, I also appreciated how intimidating the place might become for someone lacking some of the knowledge required to make the right decisions on what to go for. After doing some research, I decided - based very largely on their wholly positive and often extremely detailed Google reviews - to make an appointment with Max Diamonds. I feel it’s important to highlight the influence reviews had so that anyone reading this knows I came from the same starting position they may well be at as they read what I have to say.

In my initial meeting with Jason, we talked through what I was looking for in a ring and I really liked his relaxed, friendly approach, something I wasn’t expecting to find at the first place I visited. He did a lot to explain the various factors you should take into account and definitely put me more at ease and helped grow my understanding. Crucially, he introduced me to the idea of purchasing a lab grown diamond, something I hadn’t contemplated before. Having thought at first it might be a bit of a faux pas to go down that road, I soon learned of the very minimal differences in appearance and structure between natural and lab grown diamonds and, after seeking advice from a friend with a background in jewellery as well, chose to pursue that option given the additional possibilities it opened up.

Over a period a couple of weeks or so, we exchanged ideas by email and Jason and his wife Jo worked together to put my thoughts and their own suggestions into CAD drawings. Their patience with me in this part of the process was deeply appreciated because while I was determined to get things absolutely right, I know I was also extremely picky and perhaps a little challenging at points. Nevertheless, we got to a design I was happy with and from there, it took another two to three weeks to have the ring made and hallmarked. The final product is platinum and features a beautiful 1.37ct round diamond with four claws and no shoulders. Elaine and I are both absolutely delighted with her ring, which I feel I purchased for a fair, competitive price that represented great value for something Jason clearly took a lot of pride in when he presented it to me with confidence on collection day. I cannot recommend Max Diamonds highly enough – their no-pressure attitude sat superbly alongside Jason’s quality workmanship and I’m extremely grateful I followed my gut and took the plunge with them.

Had the most incredible experience creating my dream engagement ring with Jason and the team. We saw a number of jewellers, but as soon as we walked into Jason’s studio his friendly and calm demeanour, paired with over 35 years of experience, put me at ease straight away. I was under quite a tight deadline due to moving country and Jason and his wife Jo went above and beyond to make sure I had it ready and perfect before the move.

From Jason helping us to handpick the stone, to Jo creating an amazing computer design, to then being hand crafted by Jason and the team, they really helped bring my vision to life.

I couldn't recommend Jason more. I really shopped around Hatton Garden in pursuit of the perfect wedding band that would work with my engagement ring, and I'm so pleased that I did. Hatton Garden can feel a bit seedy sometimes - with everyone trying to hard sell. This is the last thing you want when you're buying something special... Jason is the complete opposite.

His workshop is tucked away from the glass fronted store fronts on the main road down, in the basement of a nondescript building, but from the moment you walk in you get a feel for how passionate he and his team are about creating the perfect ring. From taking the time to really understand what it was that I was looking for, to creating a 3D scan of my engagement ring to help me visualise a number of designs, and finally sourcing the very best diamonds to really help it pop - all before delivering it at the most reasonable rate. I have recommended Jason to all my friends and family and couldn't speak more highly of the whole experience.

I have just worked with Jason to design and build an engagement ring and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Jason was the most knowledgable, communicative, attentive, genuine and understanding of all the jewellers that I spoke to. Going with him was an easy decision.

I like the fact he doesn’t have a flashy, glass-fronted shop. His focus is solely on making the best possible piece of jewellery in his workshop.

His communication was always prompt and helpful. The progress photos were great and a nice touch.

But above all, Jason’s experience and skill in ring making was obvious. We are both delighted with the result.

I cannot recommend Jason highly enough – his personable and professional approach made the whole process of designing my engagement ring really enjoyable. From the first phone conversation, it was clear that Jason really cares about his craft and ensuring his clients are comfortable throughout.

Jason guided me through the whole process, from a very relaxed initial chat about his approach, to picking out a suitable centre stone, and then coming up with a personalised, yet classic, ring design. Jason was extremely flexible about meeting to view the centre stones, very responsive on email, and always available to chat things through.

We was passed Jason’s details by our neighbour, this turned out to be the best recommendation we have ever been given. From the 1st phone call we knew that we were going to get the best service we could ever wish for. Jason is not only the best in his game, he is so kind, patient and knowledgeable. Considering I had no idea of what type of engagement ring I wanted, he made the whole process so easy and so enjoyable.
The end product is beyond my wildest dreams, the effort that has gone into my ring is simply incredible. We just feel so grateful to Jason for creating the most beautiful ring and affording us the best that our budget could buy.

Max Diamonds were recommended by a friend as i was looking to but an engagement ring for my girlfriend
i had been to places like Cartier etc and whilst their offerings were nice enough i felt i would be paying for the name which wasnt necassary

I went along to see Max Diamonds and from day one they were brilliant
They offered a choice of Diamonds, all with varying degrees of size, quality and price. Thye were extremely helpful and there was no pressure to buy whatsoever
The ring i decided on was amazing, it took about a month from start to finish and in my girlfriends words " when i imagined my engagement ring, this is exactly what i envisaged - its my dream ring"
I cant add any more to that
Hence to say i would not hesitate to recommend them

I contacted Max Diamonds having seen his excellent reviews, it's a tricky thing going to a company cold, but my fiancée and I had our hearts set on a bespoke ring, so we did some research, which lead us to apporach a few companies in Hatton Garden, Jason at Max Diamonds being one of them.

From the first meeting, Jason was so friendly, helpful and professional. He helped us choose a stone shape to suit me, we showed him some images of what we liked, he then helped us to source the best diamond for our budget and decide on shoulder stones - he provided really knowledgeable advice every step of the way.

His attention to detail and craftsmanship was faultless, every step of the design process was communicated flawlessly with us, he shared with us moodboards and sketches, realistic CAD renders to help choose. It was very much an inclusive journey to producing our engagement ring that will become a future heirloom in our family, we also recieved a professional insurance valuation when we recieved the finished piece.

I phoned Max Diamonds after doing some research of Hatton Garden and I was immediately impressed by Jason’s professionalism. We agreed to design a ring together and worked through different versions to get this just right. He listened carefully to the styles I liked to pull the design all together and come up with a beautifully, elegant, very personal ring that I now wear each day. People comment on it and notice the detail in which it was made. During this time I visited the workshop and became fascinated in the creative professionalism that Jason and Mike had. It’s a friendly, welcoming environment where attention to detail and advise helps you get exactly want you want. Since this first design, I have now gone back with my fiancé and he is now making our engagement ring. Highly recommended and worlds away from the sales focused supermarket type shops that have sadly creeped into Hatton garden.

I was absolutely thrilled with my experience with Max diamonds who created a gorgeous bespoke engagement ring for me.

From the first contact through to receiving the finished product Jason really stood out from the other Craftsmen and Jewellers that I had visited because of his professional, attentive and no pressure approach. I also appreciated his flexibility in arranging meetings and responsiveness to e-mails throughout.

Coming in with very little knowledge he helped guide me through the design process from picking the perfect centre diamond to working out the finer details of the ring design through CADs and a final resin model that really helped me picture how it would look. Throughout, Jasons care (and patience!) was evident in ensuring I was happy with every element of the ring.

Not only did my fiance absolutely love the ring (it’s been almost two months since I proposed and I still catch her staring at it!), another aspect which really set Jason apart was the way the whole process was documented, through workshop videos and photos, so I could share this with my fiance who found it very special.

I could not recommend Jason more! The service that was provided was exceptional. Jason was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and has a wealth of knowledge about diamonds and the craftsmanship that goes into making the bands and setting the diamond.

Above all, he's a genuine honest guy that was incredibly patient and helpful in picking out the perfect diamond for me and then guiding me on band designs. He created a bespoke engagement ring for me and provided some much needed guidance on the best type of band that would hold the diamond securely. After I had finalised on some designs Jason created CAD designs and resin models so I could physically see what the band would like with the diamond in it. This helped in getting a genuine idea of what the ring would look like.

He is prompt with communication and very flexible in arranging meetings to come visit his workshop. Not once did I feel pressured into being forced to make a decision to buy.

He went the extra mile in ensuring I had the perfect engagement ring - this type of service is incredibly difficult to come by! You can tell the passion he has for his work from the genuine interest he shows in ensuring he creates the perfect ring.

I will certainly be going back to Jason for all future jewellery projects!

I can only say how very impressed I am with the standard of craftsmanship, clarity of information, attention to detail and personable service I received at Max Diamonds. This small but perfectly formed jewellery workshop in Hatton Garden London is both friendly and professional, and their attention to detail on every bespoke commission is so apparent when you work with them.

They take time to walk you through the process and their combined knowledge of jewellery manufacture, CAD design, bench work, repair and diamond choice is evident when you work with them.

I'm have just with my fianceé commissioned my engagement ring with them, and Jason took care of this walking us through our choices step by step, thehe result is far beyond our expectations!! Their website and insta feed have great pics to help with choosing too, I really cant recommend these guys enough, if I could give them 6 stars I would!!! Thank you Max Diamonds!
