Having just got engaged with the most beautiful ring created by Jason and Jo, I cannot recommend them enough. I wanted a timeless, classic piece with an antique feel that felt like an heirloom and they have absolutely nailed it!

After doing SO much research before we found Jason and Jo, I had VERY particular requirements as well as (quite literally) hundreds of inspiration photos. We’d found that other jewellers were not very open to the non-typical elements I wanted (an antique cut diamond, lower/warmer in colour, not wed-fit, 9ct gold instead of 18) and tried to push us down the route of the most conventionally desirable (and usually more expensive) options. I was starting to think that I might not be able to have what I really wanted!

From the first visit with Jason in the workshop, we were put at ease and felt listened to and fully involved in the process of designing my dream ring. Even before the first visit, they produced some CAD designs based on our initial enquiry, and we knew then that we were in the right place. Jason and Jo were incredibly patient and were able to help me visualise every single thing we thought I might have wanted through numerous conversations, messages, multiple CAD designs tweaked and re-tweaked and learning from previously-designed Max Diamonds pieces. This meant we were able to narrow down absolutely everything, right down to the tiniest of details and we could be sure we had truly made the right decisions for us. Every element of the ring was created with what WE wanted at the heart of it (despite what’s ‘better’ on paper), whilst Jason’s expert diamond setting experience ensured we would end up with a high-quality piece that will withstand everyday wear.

For our first visit, Jason even brought in Jo’s engagement ring with a similarly antique-cut stone to what I was after, as I’d only seen one other in-person - which was so kind. Jason communicated with me throughout, and I was invited to view and select the perfect stones from a few options, which was really important to me and something that a lot of other places didn’t offer. We were even able to custom-cut the stone to create the most perfect antique cut which is just so special to us, we are so grateful.

Jason had 3D-printed resin rings for me to try on to ensure the design suited me perfectly and they even made me an extra one of the final design with resin ‘stones’ to keep as a memento of the whole process! We were able to incorporate a little diamond from some family jewellery into the final piece which was a really nice touch.

We are absolutely over the moon with my engagement ring, it is everything I imagined and more. Jason and Jo’s genuine excitement and enthusiasm during the whole process was so lovely and we felt confident that they were just as committed as we were to creating the perfect piece.
