National Apprenticeship Week 2023

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 6th–12th of February 2023 is the 16th annual celebration of apprenticeships.

The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is ‘Skills for Life’. The week will reflect on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career and help businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with skills for the future.

Our CEO, Debbie Akehurst, is an Ambassador for the London Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (LAAN);
‘As the CEO of Hatton Garden BID, I am delighted to be a member of the LAAN. Apprenticeships offer fantastic opportunities to learn whilst earning a wage. They are an exciting employment option, where you get hands-on training and can put your skills into practice, in a real working environment. Apprenticeships are available across most industries and at multiple levels, from school leavers, people upskilling in their careers and complete career changes.’

The National Apprenticeship Week website has more information and a toolkit to help you plan and promote your activities.

The BID ran a digital campaign to celebrate apprentices who work in the area for National Apprenticeship Week. To see the success of apprentice's in the district, please click on their articles below.
