Jayne Andrews, Deputy Headteacher at St. Alban’s CE Primary School
Jayne Andrews is a Deputy Headteacher at St. Alban’s CE Primary School, which is located in the heart of Hatton Garden.
Jayne enjoys how different each day is, and loves having a unique and wonderful job that allows her to work every day with children to help them achieve their full potential and raise their aspirations for life outside of primary school. Jayne also looks after the school choir, which has performed at a variety of different events, such as the BID's mini Christmas market.
Jayne has been working there since 2006, and was keen to work in the Hatton Garden area due to its diverse and accessible location.
The key skills needed to work in a primary school are organisation, patient, flexibility and empathy.
The best piece of advice that Jayne would you give to women in her industry, or those wanting to get in your industry is to be open to take on challenges and new roles that you may not have previous experience in. Work closely with more experienced professionals and learn from their support and guidance.
