Where To Eat and Drink in Hatton Garden

A Quick Coffee and Cake

Department of Coffee and Social Affairs

The Londonist calls it a ‘labour of love’, we call it top quality coffee and a cosy place to hangout. Each coffee is handpicked to the highest standards by an upbeat and knowledgeable team. As their flagship store, Department of Coffee and Social Affairs on Leather Lane opened in 2010, kitted out with simple stylish interior and artistic features such as the graffitied coffee counter. They also dedicate their time to social endeavours and humanitarian work in the UK and further afield - coffee with a conscience.

Prufrock

During the working week, Prufrock is full of the hustle and bustle that’s found outside the Leather Lane coffee shop, and eases into a mellow space to unwind in at the weekends. Serving some of London’s best coffee (if you don’t believe us, believe Time Out), their Aeropress espressos are something to check out. Check the chalkboard menu for daily changing dishes and counter-top baked goods.

Food with Street Style

Tongue and Brisket

Ideal for a pit-stop lunch, Tongue and Brisket pays homage to simple, beloved salt beef sandwiches. Also dealers in schnitzel, smoked salmon bagels and ox tongue sandwiches, there is something for everyone in the hip, no-frills sandwich joint.

KIN

Pan-Asian street food with an equally relaxed price tag, KIN is a favourite for simple, quick and tasty dishes from East and Southeast Asia. The selections of artisan oriental teas and craft beers are taste-tested, handpicked, and a hit with diners. Expect exposed brick walls and a stylish storefront that opened up onto Leather Lane market.

Singtong Burger House

Burgers with a twist - the Thai marinade gives Singtong Burgers their signature flavour. Singtong rely on the nearby Smithfield Market for the freshest, locally sourced meat, and with chicken, veggie, chilli burgers and cheese burgers on the menu, burger fans of all varieties will be happy at Singtong.

Pub Grub and Pints

The Bleeding Heart Yard

The Bleeding Heart offers a trio of options to cater for every occasion, the Bleeding Heart Restaurant, French Bistro and The Tavern. A bit more fancy than ‘pub grub’ the French Bistro and Restaurant offer fine dining experiences. The Tavern works to an ultra relaxed vibe with all the usual drinks and gastropub takes on pub favourites: Sucking Pig spit roast, Suffolk Lamb Burgers and freshly baked goods.

The One Tun Pub

A traditional pub with Thai inspired cuisine, an array of cocktails and brew on tap, The One Tun is a favourite of nearby workers, Londoners and visitors alike. The buzzy bar ensures great vibes, particularly from Thursdays to Saturdays, and if it all gets too much there are 8 boutique hotel rooms above to crash out in.

The Craft Beer Co

As you may guess from the name, The Craft Beer Co deal in the globally best craft beer, with over 200 bottles and cans, 21 keg lines and 16 cask pumps on offer. The interior is cosy, classy and classically-pub-like, with pub-grub favourites to line your stomach including pies, sharing platters and scotch eggs.
