On Thursday 8th February, FORGE celebrated it’s one-year anniversary in spectacular style. Aaron (BID Manager at Hatton Garden BID) has set himself the goal of walking the Piccadilly line from Cockfosters to Heathrow! This is in aid of raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer and regularly checking yourself, in partnership with Orchid. Every year in the UK around 2,400 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer - nearly half are under the age of 35. Every donation will support Orchid who for over 25 years have been working to save men’s lives from testicular, penile and prostate cancer through a range of support services, education and awareness campaigns and a world-class research programme. Hatton Garden BID are hosting a FREE Mental Health First Aid Course for our businesses on Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th February 2024 9am-5pm. With only 12 spaces available we are limiting the course to one delegate per business, so please only pass on to the relevant employees as space allocation will be done on a first come first serve basis. After completing the course, participants will leave with: An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect well-being. On Wednesday 22 November 2023, Hatton Garden BID saw the return of our Mini-Christmas Market on Leather Lane. We had two huts serving mulled wine, hot chocolate, mince pies & cookies. We also hosted the St Albans CoE school choir at the Present on Hatton Garden. And we were also joined by a special guest - The Grinch! Who kindly joined us from Whoville! As a BID, we are always trying to find new innovative ways to help improve the local area and make this a place where people enjoy coming to! The Hatton Garden Business Improvement District held its Annual General Meeting, covering the 2022-2023 financial year, on 22nd November 2023. The annual accounts and board of directors were approved unanimously by the BID Members. We were delighted to be joined by Lucy Browne-O'Sullivan from Morgan Capital, who outlined the vision of a major redevelopment due to start in Q1 of 2024 on Kirby Street.
