LFA 2025: Playful Design for a new Generation of Designers

We were thrilled to celebrate the successful completion of an inspiring and imaginative event hosted in collaboration with Perkins&Will to celebrate LFA 2025. Held at the iconic 150 Holborn, the morning was filled with creativity, laughter, and limitless ideas as a group of local school children from St Albans CE primary school took part in a unique series of design workshops.

The day began with a tour of the building, offering pupils a chance to see London from a brand-new perspective. The panoramic views from the rooftop garden provided the perfect setting to learn about the importance of biodiversity and sustainability, concepts that would later influence their creative projects.

Fuelled by these insights and their own everyday experiences, the children worked closely with architects, urban planners, and interior designers to reimagine their journeys to school and the environments around them. Using scale models of their schools and local neighbourhoods, the participants demonstrated extraordinary creativity, transforming familiar scenes into vibrant, imaginative spaces. From rooftop gardens on classrooms to playful reconfigurations of school routes, the ideas showcased a bold vision for more engaging and inclusive environments.

We are incredibly proud of the creativity and enthusiasm displayed by every child who took part. Their innovative designs are now proudly exhibited in the reception area of 150 Holborn for all to admire a true celebration of young talent and the power of design to shape a better future.
