We hosted a Christmas wreath making session with our friends at Jar & Fern on Tuesday 13 December 2022 at the Johnson Building. They ran everyone through the interesting history of wreath making and introduced them to the finest seasonal foliage, freshly sourced from New Covent Garden flower market. The participants had a variety of traditional foliage to choose from, including Christmas tree, Pine cones, Glittery Birch twigs, as well as some more leftfield options like Red Ruscus, Sprayed Flax Seed and Asparagus Fern. Jar & Fern used high quality wreaths, with a living moss base that participants can tailor to make their own unique festive decoration. The wreath ring can be re-used, so with the techniques participants learn they will be able to make their own festive wreath every year!
