Facial Recognition Operation
As part of the continued collaboration between The Hatton Garden Business Improvement District (BID) and the Metropolitan Police Service, we are pleased to report the successful support of a recent proactive facial recognition operation carried out in the Hatton Garden area.
This operation, which took place at the busy intersection of Hatton Garden and Greville Street, involved the strategic deployment of facial recognition cameras to identify individuals of interest to the police. This innovative technology allowed officers on the ground to quickly and effectively detect persons with known criminal associations or outstanding warrants. Over the course of the day, the initiative resulted in four arrests.
The operation reflects a wider commitment to ensuring the safety and security of those who live, work, and visit the Hatton Garden area.
The BID would like to take this opportunity to thank the Metropolitan Police for their continued engagement and professionalism, and we encourage all local businesses to remain vigilant and actively report incidents of crime and antisocial behaviour. Such reporting plays a critical role in building the evidence base needed to justify and shape future policing activity.
