The Bleeding Heart Wine Bar reopened on the 17th of November 2022.

The Tavern in which the wine bar will be based has a very colourful history. It dates back to 1746 when its slogan was ‘drunk for a penny, dead drunk for two pence.” That should in no way be seen today as a challenge, simply as an exhortation to enjoy the Festive Season to the full.

The wine bar will serve innovative wine and classic food with flair. And we will be bringing back the famous Rotisserie with Mrs. Pugh’s suckling piglets.
Leading the kitchen team will be Phil Cooper who, like Mr. Wilson is an offal man, and will be dishing up his Bleeding Heart on Mash, as well as Chicken Livers on Toast, and the occasional sweetbread.

The wine list has been curated by the manager and sommelier Thomas Guignard and as well as the traditional Bleeding Heart favourites, we will be adding a range of organic and natural wines.
