Olivia Grace has extensive experience in creating bespoke jewellery from precious stones and fine metals. With over 17 years experience in the jewellery trade and 5 years in the diamond sector, Helena Lappin, the founder of Olivia Grace, is extremely passionate about her profession.
Helena’s journey into the trade has been interesting; after responding to an advert in the paper, she worked as a PA to a diamond merchant, learning the trade in-house - selling parcels of diamonds to Graff and Cartier and dealing with manufacturers up and down the country. After several years Helena left to start a family but carried on working freelance. She now has a thriving clientele base including celebrities who are inspired by her bespoke pieces. One highlight was making Rod Stewart's and Penny Lancaster’s wedding and engagement rings.
In November 2014 Helena set up the website Oliviagrace.london. The Olivia Grace brand is driving innovation in the diamond industry by bridging old and new techniques of design together and blending diamonds and fashion. Helena’s jewellery has an Italian influence, with key lines such as innovative stacking rings in sapphires and diamonds with an invisible adjustable setting, alongside offering her bespoke service. Helena’s own named ranges concentrate on promoting the incredible British craftsmanship you can still find around Hatton Garden and which she is determined to highlight.
Helena is passionate about her new trading home in Hatton Garden and wants to see the area thrive as an area synonymous with world class branded jewellery.
“I want to do everything I can to set and promote new standards of design for the next generation of emerging designers trying to get a foothold in the trade. I'd also like to encourage more women like myself joining this exciting industry.” Helena says.
